Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

Volvo drivers love their key fob's handy remote that comes with features. They can lock and unlock their vehicle, start the motor, and even locate it using a smartphone application.
Place the fob's face up on an uncluttered surface. Locate the button that releases it, wedge a coin between the fob and the cover and pull it up gently.
Unlocking the Door
Volvo's remote key fobs are able to unlock the doors, tailgate and the flap that holds the fuel filler of your vehicle with a touch of one button. Press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote control for four seconds. This will lower the windows as well as the sunroof, should you have one. When you're done with your vehicle, you can shut all windows by pressing the lock button again for four seconds.
You can also use the key fob to trigger your car's panic alarm. It will emit an alarm that is loud and attention-grabbing that could frighten away thieves and help you get home safely after a long night out. This feature can be very useful when you live in a neighborhood that is prone to crime or you want to safeguard your family members while they are away.
Opening the Tailgate
Volvo has loaded its key fob with variety of useful features. They are great if you have your hands full with shopping, or helping your children take their sports gear home after practice.
For example, if you have the available Hands-Free Power Liftgate with logo projection and adjustable height (if equipped), you can open it by using the key fob. You can open the liftgate by pressing the button, and then close it using the same button.

Turning off the Alarm

Set out your key fobs, batteries, and extra keys on a clean surface.
